About Tayview Summer Courses

Tayview Summer courses have been run by Susan Whiteford for over 20 years and were first based in Perth, where the name Tayview originated. After a few years it was decided to base the courses entirely at Glenalmond College where the excellent facilites allowed the expansion of the activities for each weeks course. The school cricket pavilion is the base of the camps and it is surrounded by grass pitches giving a safe free-play area.

The sports coaches assisting with the running of the courses have been with Tayview for many years and are specialists in their fields. Young helpers assist with the smooth running of the courses and assist the coaches with the younger groups.

The courses are non-residential and run from 9:30am-5pm, Monday - Friday. Children aged 5-17 years are welcome on the camps and are divided into age appropriate groups. During the week they will take part in many different activities with the oldest group usually having the opportunity for a day to kayak on the Earn or paddleboard near Perth.

Please see the activities page to read more of the sports at the camps.
